15 - 3 - Devaraj putting his peers under serious scrutiny when he demonstrated the real spirit to cheering -->way to go dude! (or is it Zigger?)
After all that had been said and shed, yesterday's match rocked because...
- the whole school had gathered for a commendable display of the SAS school spirit
- meeting old friends like Mr Koa Chee Meng and Miss Wendy Yong
- receiving friendly gestures from my first batch of ex-students who came back to show their support - some spotting wild and long manes and/or with added arsenal of GFs.
- sitting among both the great and the small all attired in a sea of blue and white
- hearing important people in authority scream and yell like emo-teenagers all over again during the match
- a hoarsed-voice Mr Ng reminding the spectators to cheer the players on in the final minutes as the game was not yet over
- the 2 spectacular tackles by Hasiff and Robert that sent the opponents to the level of dust mites, and sparking off abyss-deep groans from the SAS cheering squad
- Robert returning to the field for the last bit of the game and from the spectators' stand, hearing him yell at the rest of the team not to give up - what a display of strength and courage in the face of grim adversity!
- his face-saving penalty kick that rolled the `0' away
- having the C Div game still next term to kick some ass!
Thanks guys for a great B Div season! :)
